BEHAVIOR CONSULTATION

The behavior of your pet is integral to the human-animal bond. Destructive behaviors such as digging, chewing and scratching are not only unacceptable, but they create tension in the relationship you have with your pet. Behaviors such as barking can result in neighborhood disagreements and can involve law enforcement.

All Veterinarians are trained in dealing with some aspects of behavior. Inappropriate urination in cats is one such condition that can be treated with medications. Other behaviors, such as aggression can be life-threatening. Your veterinarian can refer you to a specialist such as Dr. Jackie Nielson, a veterinarian Board-Certified in Veterinary Behavior, her training and experience are beyond what your general practitioner veterinarian can offer.
