DENTAL HEALTH CARE MONTHS

Does your dog, cat, ferret or hedgehog have bad breath? It's not just offensive--it's a warning sign of possible dental disease or infection. Other warning signs you may notice are: stained teeth, red or inflamed gums, and trouble eating.

Just like you, pets require regular dental care to prevent more serious problems. Consider what may happen if your pet's dental problems go untreated: gum disease progresses to loose and rotting teeth, inflammation creates pain when your pet eats and bacteria are absorbed into the blood stream and cause infection in the heart and kidneys. Studies by the American Veterinary Dental Society that by age three, more than 70% of dogs and cats show some signs of dental disease.

In order to assist you in determining your pet's dental health, we offer FREE dental examinations for established patients during the months of February and March. Even if you don't observe any warning signs now, it is a good idea to have your pet's teeth examined as a part of early prevention.

If your pet should require dental care, during the months of February and March we offer the following services:

• FREE DENTAL EXAMINATION for established patients

The doctor will give you a written estimate of the care needed at the time of your free dental examination
