in the mid-Willamette Valley. Our doctors and nurses are available
around-the-clock and have extensive experience in emergency medicine
and trauma care.

Dr
Kristina Cox
grew up in rural Elkton, Oregon on a small family farm where she became
interested in veterinary medicine. She attended Oregon State University
and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences before
graduating from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine
in 2002. Her interests in veterinary medicine include emergency and
critical care, pet loss counseling, staff and client education, and
surgery. She enjoys spending her free time playing sports and outdoors-camping
and fishing or indoors-cooking and baking. Kristina has a Chinese
Pug, Cleo, and two turtles, Sam and Ella. |
Dr.
Sabra Thomas obtained her B.S. in resource
conservation in 1980 from the University of Montana. After taking
time off to compete in triathlons, she moved to Corvallis in 1984
where she nurtured her outdoor enthusiasm by participating in Corvallis
Mountain Rescue, backpacking, climbing, skiing, and many other outdoor
activities.
Sabra worked as a firefighter and paramedic with the Corvallis Fire
Department for 6 years before pursuing her childhood dream and passion
of veterinary medicine. She graduated from Oregon State University
in 1997 and has worked as a mixed animal practitioner for 3 years,
also serving as pet therapy coordinator for Heartland Humane Society.
She enjoys spending her free time with her two horses, dog and cat. |

Dr.
Justin Vaughn
joined the Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center in June 2006.
He grew up in Grants Pass, Oregon but attended veterinary school in
Colorado. He spends his free time fishing, scuba diving, cooking and
playing rugby. |
